Brazil Trek '04

4 - 14 November 2004

The Brazilian Wilderness trek is a brand new addition to the Breast Cancer Care calendar. Covering a total of 84km, it starts from Alto Paraiso and heads east into the beautiful Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park. This is a remote part of Brazil and the particular route chosen has barely been walked either by locals or westerners.

The area is spilling over with massive waterfalls, the highest of which is 150m. The terrain and scenery are amazingly varied, taking us through canyons, across savannah and through local Indian communities. Capped by the awesome sunrises and sunsets, it promises to make for a fantastic adventure. We end with a day in Rio de Janeiro... the magical climax of a truly unforgettable experience which also raises money to support those affected by breast cancer.
